L.I.F.E. believes that Learning Is For Everyone and that it is not only possible, but vital, that we are able to move within different educational venues at different times in our own and our children’s lives. While this guide explores various educational choices, it does so with the understanding that there is no one "right" way to learn. We won’t be interpreting or translating laws for you, or what curricula or vendors to use or who to listen to, or whose theories are best. We provide no intermediaries between you and the state or your county. You don’t need any. You can, and should be, your own best expert!
We empower you to make your own informed decisions by providing you with a wide selection of legislative, educational and civil resources and contacts from which to find answers you seek for yourself or your family. We also believe that learning doesn’t have to be expensive, or prepackaged, or specifically "gifted" oriented, or "learning disabled" focused to meet our own or our children’s varying needs and abilities, but that a rich and meaningful variety of real-time, hands-on resources are available, largely for free, in our libraries, online and in our own backyards and communities; that by simply living an active, engaged, productive life, we and our children will learn what’s needed to be active, engaged and productive individuals.
We hope you find this compendium of information and resources helpful, and that you will continue to add your own findings as time goes on and you discover that, in truth, Learning Is For Everyone and, engaged in warmly and with passion, does indeed inspire a never-ending desire to learn more!
