Calculus On the Web
COW is an internet utility for learning and practicing calculus. It was designed at Temple by two members of the Temple University Mathematics Department, Gerardo Mendoza and Dan Reich. The principal purpose of COW is to provide you, the student or interested user, with the opportunity to learn and practice problems in calculus (and in the future other topics in mathematics) in a friendly environment via the internet. The most important feature of the COW is that you get to know whether your answer is correct almost immediately. It is as if you had a tutor looking over your shoulder and helping you along as you work. This will be true no matter where you are or what computer you use, as long as it is connected to the internet and has a web browser. http://www.math.temple.edu/%7Ecow/

Mathematical Imagery Explore the World of Mathematics and Art- The connection between mathematics and art goes back thousands of years. Mathematics has been used in the design of Gothic cathedrals, Rose windows, oriental rugs, mosaics and tilings. Geometric forms were fundamental to the cubists and many abstract expressionists, and award-winning sculptors have used topology as the basis for their pieces. Dutch artist M.C. Escher represented infinity, Möbius bands, tessellations, deformations, reflections, Platonic solids, spirals, symmetry, and the hyperbolic plane in his works. http://www.ams.org/mathimagery/

Radical Math
The founders of RadicalMath believe strongly that math literacy is a civil right for all youth and that all classrooms should foster culture, unique learning styles and reflect the just societies we encourage in our own lives and teaching practices. They ask the question of students, What are the problems that my community is facing, and how can I use math to understand and help solve them?" Access the Guide for Integrating Issues of Social and Economic Justice into Mathematics Classrooms and Curriculum to learn about the possibilities of teaching math through a social justice lens. http://www.radicalmath.org/
